Research

Once I began the long process of researching all necessary sources, be it through qualitatively fanbase related (Reddit, Pokecommunity, etc) or more quantitively based sources (Bulbapedia, Serebii, Pokemon.com, etc), I was able to gather all of my sources in one place via the Research Table, which was structured through the Harvard Referencing Grid.

Most of the links on the table are links to secondary research based pages that helped me draft my script, more information on individual research efforts are cited here: Research Efforts

I was also able to collate much of my Primary Research into a worksheet, which allowed me to explore all the possibilities available to me when it comes to the methods I can use. As cited: Collating Primary Research

Primary Research I conducted was peer assessed with several of my friends who are fans of the franchise, and so, I would be able to receive an accurate representation of the average fan's perception on some of the core aspects of the series as a whole. This helped me receive more accurate information when it comes to how the fanbase perceives particular games, and thus lengthened the script.

Media Treatment

As instructed, I created my own Media Project Treatment which outlined a solid path for me to follow before beginning the Production stage. I had defined a target audience, given a synopsis of the video documentary/essay, and roughly stated all the necessary equipment/programs I would need to make this project feasible. I was also able to receive sufficient feedback from one peer, who commented on my Media treatment plan, and rated my concepts on a scale of 1-10.
